Happy Sunday everyone. How are you guys doing today? I’m doing fine, thank you very much.
I know that this post is a little bit late but I have a reason why. I just came back from Southern California a few hours ago. You can say that my family and I went on a mini vacation to Southern California (SoCal). It was just two days. Oh, the 6 to 7 hour long car ride to SoCal and the 6 to 7 hour car ride back home. It was worth it though. I’ll post more about it tomorrow if I feel like it.
What I am here to post about are my meals and workouts for the week. Here they are. I ended up having a rest day yesterday and today because of the mini vacation. I did do a lot of walking yesterday though.
Workouts
Sunday-rest
Monday- 10 mile run
Tuesday- 6 miles
Wednesday- rest
Thursday- 6 miles
Friday- 6 mile run
Saturday– rest
I will add body weight workouts since that is also important for running. I will also do my best to stretch and foam roll after every workout.
Meals
Breakfast: oatmeal+pb+chia seeds OR egg and cheese sandwich on whole wheat bread (with fruit!)
Lunch: brown rice+ tofu or eggs or another protein source+ veggies
Snack: kind granola bar + fruit OR trail mix
Dinner: brown rice, veggies, egg or another protein source such as tofu or black beans
This reminds me that I have to buy some fruit and granola bars tomorrow! The mini vacation set me back a bit but that’s okay. I already cooked my brown rice, which saves a lot of time.
As for my 10 mile run later this month, I have pretty much accepted that I will be walking and running it. I will do my best to set a 10 mile personal record (PR) of under 1 hr 35 minutes but we will see how that goes! They also posted a preview of the 10 mile finishers medal and I have to say, it looks awesome!
