Vega recently launched new lines of bars and I was able to try the Vega Sports Energy Bars.
Luckily for me, I love chocolate, coconut, and almonds! I was so excited to try these bars. It is suggested to eat these bars during your workout when you need quick energy from food. However, I am not the type that eats during workouts. My stomach does not listen to me when I eat during or right before a workout.
Instead, I ate these bars either an hour and a half before my workout, after my workout, or as a snack. I have to say that when I ate it before my workout, my run was much better!
These bars fit my life because I love snacking. Although these are a bit nutrient dense, it was enough to keep me satisfied until my next meal. I ate these while doing homework or even blogging, as I am doing right now. These bars are so good!
Just to let you know, these bars taste better right out of the refrigerator rather than leaving it to room temperature. The texture of the warmer bar is a bit different and it was as good as the ones out from the fridge.
I also have to mention that this is part of the #FuelYourBetter campaign. These bars are a great way to keep your energy levels high when exercising. As I mentioned earlier, I have eaten these as a pre-workout, which gave me energy. I am sure that it will help with during your endurance workouts as well.
Would I buy these again? I would, if they are sold in stores! I love how the ingredients are:
