Happy Friday everyone. How are you guys doing today? I’m doing alright, thank you very much. I think that my running is somewhat improving. I was able to run 7 miles twice this week, which is good. Anyway, before I get into anything else, here were my workouts for the week.
So, I posted on Facebook the today. This is what I posted. “So, I’ve been lazy lately and have not been waking up at 5 am to workout before work (I work at 7:30). During the summer, it was so easy to wake up early and go for a run. Right now when I wake up, I think it’s cold and I don’t want to get out of bed. I’ve been working out after work and I’m happy I haven’t slacked off on that. However, I want to wake up early again to workout before work. I’d like to free up my time after work to do other things. I also feel more productive waking up early. Waking up early again to workout is my New Year’s Resolution. Who’s in with me?”
Seriously. I’ve been waking up at 5 am and working out that early since high school. What changed in me? How come I can’t get out of bed that early now? I mean, I can wake up but I just turn off my alarm and go back to sleep. Maybe it’s because my lack of sleep has gotten to me or my lack of a school schedule is getting to me. I don’t know which. I do know that I want to work out again before school or work. It frees the rest of my day up.
In other news, it was one of my co-worker’s birthday this week, so we all went out for sushi. I ended up ordering a bento box and two rolls of sushi. I ate 3/4 of it. Then, I ate two slices of red velvet cake. I know. #yolo. I ended up running 7 miles after. I guess all those carbs gave me the energy!
Today, I also went out to eat with a co-worker and ate Mexican food. My co-worker can’t believe how I can eat so much but be “skinny”. I call myself normal curvy. But, hey, people have their own view of what is skinny, normal, etc. Seriously, a lot of people ask how I am not “fat” but eat a lot (they call me ‘skinny’). I can go to a restaurant, eat my entree and still eat half of another person’s entree, which I have done quite a few times. It’s about working out, fueling your body correctly, and in some cases, having a “fast”metabolism. Being young is also in my favor.
I guess that is it for now. I am planning on running a half marathon at the end of March, but I’ll see how my IT band is feeling. I need to start foam rolling more.
How were your workouts this week?
