Happy Friday everyone. How are you guys doing today? I’m doing alright, thank you very much. I’ve been trying to run 6 miles at one time but I just couldn’t. Instead, I barely ran 4 miles on the days I did run, which was three times this week. I am really unsure if I am ready for my half marathon.
Before I get more into that, here were my “workouts” for the week.
So, as you can tell, my working out this week was an epic fail. Then again, I was barely able to run 4 miles on Monday, after recovering from being sick. I was just too tired on Tuesday. On Wednesday, I ran in 80 degree weather, after work. That did not go well at all.
Since after work was too hot to run, I decided to run in the early morning on Thursday BEFORE going to work. Ha. That didn’t go well either. I really don’t know whether I should continue with running the half marathon or switch to the 5K or even the 10k they just added this year to their run.
I am in this dilemma and I do not know what to do. I have never ran a 10K race. It would be interesting. However, my mind has been set on a half marathon. What should I do? I should probably listen to my body and switch to a shorter run, like the 10K (6.2 miles). I wouldn’t feel like a total failure for doing that.
I have until the end of tomorrow, 6pm, to decide. I’ll let you guys know on Sunday what I decide to do.
