Weekly Meals and Workouts 96 and Fitness Friday 103

Happy Lunar New Year everyone! 新年快乐!How are you guys doing today? I’m doing great, thank you very much. How was your Superbowl Weekend?

I started my Sunday off with the Super Sunday Fun Run 10K. I ran it pretty slow, however. I ran it in 1 hour 10 minutes and 38 seconds. I know, that is super slow. I really am still getting back into the swing of running. Even after a month of getting back into it, it is still hard. I gained a little weight from taking December off of working out (I was sick). Plus, it didn’t help that I was cramping. I am just happy that I finished it. It was really nice weather though.

Before I get into anything else, here were my workouts last week.

2-7-16 Meal Plan

Workouts

Sunday-   6 mile run

Monday-  rest

Tuesday-   6 mile run + abs

Wednesday- Jillian Michael’s DVD

Thursday- 5 mile run + abs

Friday- 4 mile intervals

Saturday- rest

My meals for lunch will vary. I might make pasta or I may take leftovers from dinner to eat for lunch. I ate leftovers last week and ended up not making any pasta. However, I will make some pasta this week.

This post is just a guideline for me to outline my workouts and meals. I tend to change my mind on what to eat or do for a workout half the time but I always have this to fall back on.

In other news, I baked the nian gao (年糕) and I made the prosperity cupcakes (发糕). Below are the pictures.

As I mentioned earlier, I gained a little weight from December and I want to lose it and tone up. I made a bet with a few coworkers to lose 10 pounds by April 16th. It starts this week. I won’t post my weight on here but I will let you guys know if I gain or lose weight each week. And, do not worry. I will not be dieting. I just want to eat healthier and get back into working out. I don’t care if I win or lose the bet.

That is it for now. I will update you guys about my internship next week. I will also be writing a post about something we are talking about in my Psychology of Women class. I feel like it’s something very important to talk about.
