Happy New Year everyone! I am so sorry for not posting lately. I got sick about two weeks ago, the Friday I posted my plan (Friday, December 16). I was unable to workout until Xmas day. I am feeling a lot better now and I am happy to say that I actually did workout the past week.
I am so proud of myself for starting to workout again. I gained 5 pounds since I broke my foot and I want to lose about 20-25 pounds by bikini season. What is more realistic is 10-15 pounds but I will take it one step at a time.
Anyway, PIIT is Pilates Intense Interval Training. It was created by Cassey Ho of Blogilates. I did the workout again for the first time on Xmas and boy, am I really out of shape. That’s what happens what you don’t workout for a few months! Injuries do suck. Anyway, how PIIT works is that there are many 7-8 minute workouts. For one workout, you do the same video 4 times. Last week, I only did 1 1/2 (about 45 minutes) just to ease back into working out. However, today, I did 2 full workouts (about one hour). I am so happy I was able to do that.
Don’t worry. I will be adding other types of workouts later on. I plan on doing weight training + cardio together about twice a week. I also plan on adding yoga to the routine.
New Years Resolution 2017
- Lose weight and be healthy.
- create and stick with meal plans
- workout at least 5 days a week
- I would like to lose about 20 pounds. No more than 2 pounds a week. I don’t mind if I end up gaining weight as long as I am gaining muscle and losing fat.
- Be more organized.
- Reduce stress!! Meditate or do calming yoga poses for about 5-10 minutes a day.
- Meet new people.
- Be happy!
Well, that is it for now. I hope you guys had a great holiday season! Having all the sweets around during the holidays didn’t really help with sticking to healthy eating. However, it’s okay to enjoy the holidays as long as you don’t overindulge. Have that one piece of chocolate (not 10).
