Happy Sunday everyone. Happy Mother’s Day! I am so grateful to have my mom. I know we argue sometimes and annoy each other but in the end, she’s always loving and supportive. I know she wants the best for me. So, I took her and my family out for dim sum to celebrate this day. Anyway, let’s get back to what this post is about.
I am so sorry that I have been basically absent except for my Fitness Friday posts (I really want to start posting more running and health posts) but I will have to manage my personal time better to be able to that. I’ve been crazy busy!
So, here were my workouts last week.
So, 5 x 400 m is running 400 meters, 5 times at a pace of just running one mile. It’s almost like interval running. I am really hoping this will help with my speed (I also know that if I weighed lighter, I would run a bit faster. That is a different story, however).
I ran my 5k on the treadmill on Thursday and I’m pretty happy with the time I got on that. 28:15. However, it would be a lot slower when running outside. I also ran 5 miles today to start off my 10k training. This may be TMI but remember to clip your toenails. Mine were long enough (but still short) that it cut into my skin and started bleeding. It just happened today. Ouch! I learned my lesson.
Anyway, that’s my update on my 10k training. That’s it for my quick update.
