íFeliz cinco de mayo! How are you guys doing today? Celebrating cinco de mayo with margaritas? I know it’s one of my favorite alcoholic drinks. Anyway, I am so forgetful. I had a post typed up last week and I totally forgot to post it. It was about my thoughts of doing a 10k and my workouts.
Anyway, here were my workouts the past two weeks.
So, I ran a 10k race last Sunday and my post that I forgot to actually post was saying how I wasn’t prepared for the run and I did not expect to get a PR (personal record). Well, hold and behold, I got a PR and placed third in my age group for females. I was so surprised.
I expected to run it in one hour or more but I ran it in 55:46. I totally surprised myself. I also barely made it in time for the start due to traffic getting into the parking lot. I also didn’t stop to walk, which surprised me as well. I pushed myself since I could tell that I was going at a pace to set a PR. Mi novio also ran the 5k for the event, which started 15 minutes later than the 10k. I still beat him.
Most of the course was in the sun, which sucked. They changed the course and start/finish place this year. But, it was still a good, flat course.
In other news, life has been busy and hectic. I started a new job this week. And I watched the new Avengers movie twice this past week with the novio. It’s a great movie.
