Lately

Happy Sunday everyone. How are you guys doing today? I’m doing alright, thank you very much. I’ve just been very busy and everything. Then, I realized I haven’t posted in a while.  So, what have I been up to lately?

Well, for one thing, I did not workout since Wednesday last week. I got sick last week on Saturday. I am feeling better now but I want to fully recover before I start working out again. I’ll probably start working out again tomorrow.

Also, I was on vacation with my family. We went to Vegas last Thursday, Thanksgiving. We left Wednesday night and arrived in Vegas later on Thursday. I got sick on the way back home from Vegas (so sad). We didn’t do much in Vegas but I took some pictures. We explored the area, took pictures, and did a little shopping.

The past week has been crazy. On Tuesdays, my classes run all the way until night time. It’s crazy. Me, being sick, did not want to go to school and just rest the past Tuesday. However, I had a fitness test in my aerobics class (25% of our grade) and a presentation in my night class (worth 100 points). I suffered  pushed through the day and I finished everything. I had to present four times to four different groups. Yea, not fun but I did it. Even if you are not feeling well, you have to get your work done. That’s real life.

That is really it for now. I plan on going back into running. I miss it so much. But, I know starting it back up with be hard. I’ll push through it. My New Year’s Resolution is to be able to run the 30 miles a week liked I used to do. I will build it up and not just do it all at once.

My workouts and meal plan will be just winging it this week.

Tuesday-   4 mile run + T25 ab workout

Wednesday- BUTI Yoga

Thursday- 4  mile run+T25 ab workout

Friday- 4 mile run

Saturday- Jillian Michael’s DVD

Meals:

Breakfast: quesadilla w/ boca, avocado + coffee OR burrito w/eggs, boca, avocado, veggies + coffee

Snacks: apple, KIND bars

Lunch:  leftovers or pasta

Dinner: eat out OR rice, protein, vegetables

That is it for now. I will post about the Sports Nutrition Workshop in my next post. This week is dead week and next week is finals. Wish me luck!

Fitness Friday 56

Happy Friday everyone. How are you guys doing today? I’m doing alright, thank you very much. I tried crashing a lot nutrition classes all this week and no luck. They added a new prerequisite class for another nutrition class that I wanted to crash. Everyone is trying to get in. Then, they’re going by seniority and not the wait list #collegelife

I am happy with the classes I do have right now but I wish I had at least one nutrition class or a class for my major.

In other news, here were my workouts for the week. I ran mainly in the school’s indoor track at the gym.

Fitness Friday 1-30-15

 

I forgot to mention that I did a strength workout yesterday after my run. It feels so good to use weights again!

So, the classes I’m taking this semester are Mandarin, Spanish, Jogging, and Cross-Cultural Psychology. I’m so happy with my jogging class. The professor is pretty lenient and is letting me use her class time for me to train for my half marathon. The other classes are for my own enrichment.

What do you guys think of college now a days? It’s so hard to get into classes. More students, less faculty to teach means that there are not enough supplies to meet demand. 

Fitness Friday 49

Happy Friday everyone. How are you guys doing today? I’m doing alright, thank you very much. A lot of major things happened recently. Well, I registered for classes for next semester and guess what. I didn’t get into any of my nutrition classes. They were ALL FULL last week. And, they added a NEW PREREQUISITE class for a few other nutrition classes that I NEED to take. That means EVERYONE in my major is trying to get in.  You can tell how I am feeling about this right now.

I will be waiting for open enrollment and trying to crash classes. We’ll see how that goes. As of right now, I am going to take Mandarin, Spanish, Jogging, and Cross-Cultural Psychology. Spanish is for my minor, Mandarin is for my own enrichment and learning of my own culture, and the rest is just to fill units to be a full time student.

Anyway, let’s get back to what this post is suppose to be about, my workouts.

Fitness Friday 12-12-14The reason why I didn’t run as far on Tuesday is that I wasn’t feeling that well on that run. For some reason, I couldn’t push myself to run. It was strange. After a mile in, I walked for a bit. Then, I ran and I suddenly walked. I think that’s my body’s way of telling me to not run anymore at that time.

Well, that is it for now. I’ll be posting my thoughts about the T25 on Tuesday, after a week of doing the workouts.

Fitness Friday 42

Happy Friday,everyone. How are you guys doing today? I’m doing alright, thank you very much. I am running a 5 k tomorrow and then volunteering for an event that some FAN club members will be in.

Anyway, here were my workouts for the week.

Fitness Friday 10-24-14

As you can see, my running as gone down. I am thinking about taking Monday as a rest day. I will probably run another 3 miles after the 5 k so that I can run a total of 6 miles tomorrow. I want to add more strength and yoga into my routine.

So, as I had stated earlier this week, I wanted to talk about something. After long thinking, I am no longer studying dietetics. I am just studying nutrition now. I want to work more in the public health setting. My plan is to get  a Master’s in Public Health later on. My mind changed due to some classes I have been taking.

It happens. You start college. You don’t know know what you want to major in. You’re taking random classes until you find something you want to do in life. Another scenario can be that you go into college thinking you know what you want. Then, you start taking classes and you realize it is not something you like anymore.

College is about learning new things and finding out what you like.

That is all I have to say about that.

My Schedule

Hey everyone. I thought I’d tell you guys more about my schedule so that you guys have an idea of what I do in my life. Here it is.

Monday/Wednesday

5am: wake up, change, run

6:10am: shower, get ready for work AND school

6:35am: leave the house to catch the bus

7:30 am: work

2:30pm: get off work, change into school clothes, take the lightrail to school

3:20pm: get to school, study quickly for chem

4 pm: Chemistry lab

6:30pm: lab ends. I eat and study for my American Sign Language (ASL) Class

7:30pm: ASL class

8:45pm: class ends, I go home

9:15pm: arrive home, eat, shower, study if I have time, sleep

11pm: I should be in bed by then

Tuesday

5am: wake up, change, run

6:10am: shower, get ready for work AND school

6:35am: leave the house to catch the bus

8am: I get to school, study, eat breakfast

9-11:20 am: classes

12pm: work

5pm: off work, walk to bus stop

6:15pm: I get home, shower, eat dinner, do homework, go online

10:30-11pm: bed

Thursday

5am: wake up, change, run

6:10am: shower, get ready for work AND school

6:35am: leave the house to catch the bus

8am: I get to school, tudy, eat breakfast

9-11:20 am: classes

11:20am-2pm: get home with light rail and bus.

2pm: get home, eat, study, etc.

Friday

5am: wake up, change, run

6:10am: shower, get ready for work AND school

6:35am: leave the house to catch the bus

7:30 am: work

5pm: get off work, take bus home

6:15pm: get home, shower, eat, do homework, chill

11pm: go to bed

Weekend

homework, studying,chilling, sleeping. run, eat

That’s how my schedule basically looks. It looks crazy, right?
