2018 – Fitness Friday 18 (on a Saturday) + Half Marathon Training Plan

Happy Saturday everyone. How are you guys doing today? I’m doing alright, thank you very much. The summer has been really hot! I like fall or spring weather.

Anyway, my half marathon training hasn’t been going so well.  I only ran once this week. I need to start running more. Here’s what I mean.

We will see how this goes! I don’t expect a PR but I hope to have fun running and get into waking up early and working out in the morning more.

2018 – Fitness Friday 12 & 13 (on a Saturday)

íFeliz cinco de mayo! How are you guys doing today? Celebrating cinco de mayo with margaritas? I know it’s one of my favorite alcoholic drinks. Anyway, I am so forgetful. I had a post typed up last week and I totally forgot to post it. It was about my thoughts of doing a 10k and my workouts.

Anyway, here were my workouts the past two weeks.

So, I ran a 10k race last Sunday and my post that I forgot to actually post was saying how I wasn’t prepared for the run and I did not expect to get a PR (personal record). Well, hold and behold, I got a PR and placed third in my age group for females. I was so surprised.

I expected to run it in one hour or more but I ran it in 55:46. I totally surprised myself. I also barely made it in time for the start due to traffic getting into the parking lot. I also didn’t stop to walk, which surprised me as well. I pushed myself since I could tell that I was going at a pace to set a PR. Mi novio also ran the 5k for the event, which started 15 minutes later than the 10k. I still beat him.

Most of the course was in the sun, which sucked. They changed the course and start/finish place this year. But, it was still a good, flat course.

In other news, life has been busy and hectic. I started a new job this week. And I watched the new Avengers movie twice this past week with the novio. It’s a great movie.

2018 – Fitness Friday 4 (on a Monday)

Happy Monday everyone! How are you guys doing today? I’m doing alright, thank you very much. I have been so busy the past few weeks. I’m sorry for not posting! It’s just been hectic and time just flies by so fast.

Anyway, here were my workouts the past two weeks!

As you can see, I am starting to run more again. I ran the Donut Dash this past weekend with my co-workers. There was no official time but I ran it under 40 minutes. The Donut Dash is a four mile run. First, you run 2 miles, get your donuts, and then run 2 miles back to where you started. It was my first time doing it and it was so much fun! I will post pictures.  I also have more runs planned for this year. I also watched the King’s Game this weekend (they lost) and I watched a movie with the novio.

I will try to post more but it’d also be nice to hear what you guys would like to read about. If not, I do have a list of topics I would like to write about. Let me know what you guys are interested in reading or learning about!

2018 – Fitness Friday 2

Happy Sunday everyone! How are you guys doing today? I’m doing alright, thank you very much. The weather here the past week was perfect. It was unusually warm for Spring but it was really nice. It went up to the mid 70s. It was great! Unfortunately, we do need rain so it did cut into our rainfall.

So, anyway, enough about that. Here were my workouts last week.

Fitness Friday 2-9-18

I ran the 5k with mi novio on Sunday. It was the SuperBowl run in our area. The weather was perfect! Plus, we got beers after (well, I did. The novio doesn’t drink so I drank his). Since I stayed with him the entire time and it was his first 5k, I didn’t get a PR. 41:17 was the time.

Yesterday, I went to the Waffle Experience with my friends yesterday and it was delicious! Who knew that a waffle burger would taste so good. It’s called “We Found the Beef”.

2017 – Fitness Friday 38 (on a Saturday)

Happy Saturday everyone! How are you guys doing today? I’m doing alright. The weather has been weird. Last week, it was almost 90 degrees and now, it rained today! I so miss the summer/spring weather. I’m not a fall/winter person.

Anyway, here were my workouts this week.

Fitness FRiday 11-3-17

I do plan on running again starting next week. I am looking to buy new running shoes. Once I do buy a new pair, I am going to start running again. I do miss it! It has just been hard to run in the morning since it’s still dark and I do not like running on the treadmill much. At this point though, it is something I have to deal with during the work week (due to work). At least I have the weekend to run outside.

Anyway, that’s it for now.
