2018 – Weekly Meals and Workouts 5

Happy Sunday everyone. How are you guys doing today? I’m doing alright, thank you very much. Remember that I did hot yoga yesterday? Well, I can’t believe I’m saying this but I’m sore from that yoga class! I’m surprised but not surprised at the same time. Even though I do lift weights, yoga works different muscle groups that I haven’t worked in such a long time. I haven’t done yoga regularly in years, even though I do yoga stretches after my workouts. I am thinking about incorporating yoga more into my routine as I do feel the benefits of it.

Anyway, before I get more into that, here is my plan for the week.

11-4-18 Meal Plan

Workouts

Sunday – PIIT

Monday – 30 min elliptical + weights

Tuesday – 5 k run + weights

Wednesday – 30 min elliptical + weights

Thursday – rest

Friday  – intervals on treadmill  + weights

Saturday – PIIT

I plan on waking up 30 minutes earlier in the morning so that I can do a yoga video at least 3 times a week. I feel like it would be a good morning routine. But, to do that, I would have to go to bed earlier the night before.

We will see how it goes but I do believe in the benefits of doing yoga!

2018 – Weekly Meals and Workouts 4

Happy Sunday everyone. How are you guys doing today? I’m doing alright, thank you very much. I’ve had a busy weekend. Shopping, chores, watching a movie, etc. It was a busy and fun weekend.

Anyway, before I get into anything else, here is my plan for the week.

Meals

9-30-18 Meal Plan

I’m not usually too hungry in the morning now-a-days so I usually drink coffee and then snack on a granola bar or biscotti  later in the morning. Remember, listen to your body and eat when you’re hungry and stop when you are 80% full. The Japanese call it “hara hachi bu” and I believe in this philosophy. I’ll talk more about it in another post.

Workouts

Sunday – Jillian Michael’s Extreme Shed and Shred

Monday – rest

Tuesday – morning: yoga ; afternoon: 30 minutes elliptical + weights

Wednesday – 5k run OR stairmaster (depending on my mood) + weights

Thursday – morning: yoga ; afternoon: 30 minutes elliptical + weights

Friday  – 5k run OR stairmaster (depending on my mood) + weights

Saturday – PIIT

So, that’s my plan for the week. The Urban Cow 5 K is coming up, October 7. Like I said, I won’t be doing the half marathon this year.

As for my general workout routine, I do want to incorporate yoga. It’d be nice to include Pilates as well but I will try to find a balance.

It’s Sunday everyone. How are you guys doing today? I’m doing alright, thank you very much. I just miss working out. I plan on working out again starting tomorrow. I can’t believe it’s already been a week since I last worked out!

Anyway, before I get into anything else, here is my plan for the week.

Weekly Meals and Workouts 4-8-18

So, I should be running more. I have a 10k race at the end of this month. I do plan on having Sundays as my “long run” days. This upcoming  Sunday, I do plan on running a full 5k. The Sunday after that, 4 miles. I want to somewhat build up the mileage. I don’t want to injure myself.

2018 – Fitness Friday 5 + Weekly Meals and Workouts 2

Happy Sunday everyone. How are you guys doing today? I’m doing alright, thank you very much. It’s been a very busy week and I haven’t had much time to myself at all this week, much less working on other stuff. Only thing is working out and resting since I’ve been unusually tired this week.

Anyway, before I get into anything else, here were my workouts last week and my plan for this week.

Workouts

Sunday-  one hour elliptical

Monday-  2 mile run/sprints + upper body

Tuesday-  30 min elliptical + upper body

Wednesday-  yoga

Thursday- 5k run + upper body

Friday- 30 minute elliptical + legs

Saturday- PIIT

My plan is to get up early in the morning to do a half hour yoga/abs most days of the week. We will see how that goes!

I do plan on doing a nutrition post some time soon. I don’t know what topic it would be about but keep an eye out for it. I am thinking that maybe my post should be “How to Eat Healthy as a Vegetarian or Vegan”. 2018 – Fitness Friday 3 + Weekly Meals and Workouts 1

Happy Monday everyone! How are you guys doing today? I’m doing great, thank you very much. I haven’t been doing well with my New Year’s goals and I hope to improve. It takes time to change your habits. I really want to post on my blog more. I’ve been busy this past weekend with family and celebrating the Lunar New Year! It’s the year of the dog. I am sorry for not posting a Lunar New Year post.

Anyway, here were my workouts last weekend.

Fitness Friday 2-16-18

I did yoga yesterday and it was so hard! I am not as flexible as I used to be. I really want to incorporate yoga more into my workout routine. I’ve been mainly just doing cardio and strength. Yoga does have a place in your workout routine!

And here are my workouts and meals for this week. Just a reminder that my meal planning is just a plan. I sometimes end up eating out instead. That’s real life.

Weekly Meals and Workouts 2-19-18

I plan on doing yoga on Wednesday. I want to start with once a week first to see how it goes. Then, possibly up it to twice a week. My other goal is to  do abs at 10 minutes a day. I am thinking 10 minutes before bed every night. We will see how it goes. I plan on setting an alarm on my phone to keep myself on track.
